Thukela Records is an independent record label specializing in South African popular and traditional music. We record a wide range of genres, including African favorites such as afro-gospel, maskandi, isicathamiya, and other neo-traditional music. We focus on music from rural areas where communities lack access to recording technologies and knowledge of the industry. Our aim is to promote rural musicians and to provide opportunities for them to record and perform their music on the international stage.
